[Immediately coming to sit down! He's just. in a robe. Barely. But that's probably fine. not like everyone hasn't seen everything at trial anyway. Going to pick through the colors too, some sparkling gold, or a shiny red.]
I'd been meaning to ask, actually, and I hope it's not too rude... but what are you, exactly? I overheard that you're a 'tiefling,' but I'm afraid I'm not familiar.
Suppose it's demons, devils, fiends and such way back in the bloodline. Hence the looks. But I wouldn't really know much about that. Just that humans tend to give me funny looks in some backwoods towns.
Well I thought vampires were fairy tales until people start showing up at trial with fang bites in their neck, so we're both learning a little something, yes?
No other food. You know, all the weird and wonderful things you can get here. Wine, shrimp, what are the candies called-- Oh. Sour worms. Those things. Just blood?
Oh, I eat. Not sure I want to think about shrimp after recent events, but... I enjoy a good glass of wine. As well as anything else that humans eat or drink.
There’s no real nourishment in it, but a variety of flavours is nice to experience.
[he just laughs, moving onto another nail. claw. nail claw.]
Normally I'd need most of it, mind you, for my fights and such but with all the magic blocked in this place I think now I've got some extra. Red as any other, though.
I have three, in fact. Morana's the one who's always experimenting with bold new fashions and the like. Sometimes she looks like she's from a completely different era. Carmilla's well-suited to bold styles as well, but she has more of a classic look. And Striga... would probably look at me funny if I tried to talk to her about any of this.
[and her other hand is done! she's checking them out.]
Not too personal at all. Bit of a wanderer. Travelled with a circus for a while, and then an adventuring party. So I suppose not lack of a home as much as a moving one. This is probably the longest I've ever been in one place, actually. Bit cramped for my liking, to be honest, and after a while you do have to keep meeting the eyes of everyone you've ... y'know, with.

You any good at this? The nails?
no subject
[she's considering a shiny pink one now, looking unsure.]
My sister always wears such bold colours, but I'm not sure I could pull it off.

I don't think I'd know anything about shying away from colorful. Sort of born into it, as it were.

[just starting to paint a claw gold, idly.]
Just means I'm what I am. Horns, tail, charming personality. Fire resistance. Some folks have got the hooves, I don't have the hooves.
no subject
Oh? If you really want to know, my first guess was ‘demon,’ but you don’t really have the temperament. [a pause, and a smile.] That’s a compliment.
no subject
[I mean. he does kind of get it.]

Yourself?

[she’s pretty casual about it, though. and all right, she’s going with the deep red! she holds out a hand and starts painting those long nails.
his question gets a one-word answer.]
A vampire.

We are.
Honestly, I never imagined I’d get so many volunteers. The humans here are much more open-minded than I’m used to.

[He pauses and just. Looks at her for a second.]
So it's only blood for you?
no subject
Only? As in...?

[hmmmmmmmm.]
But listen, I understand the need for variety. [...] If you want something different I suppose I couldn't turn down any new experience.

[lenore glances up with a grin as she gets started on the other hand.]
Are we still talking about sour worms?

[he just laughs, moving onto another nail. claw. nail claw.]

Consider me interested.
[she’s smiling as she’s painting away at her own claw-nails.]
We might need to wait for these to dry, first.
no subject
[finishing up his own then, very fascinated with the gold.]
You said you had a sister?
no subject
[and her other hand is done! she's checking them out.]
no subject
Must miss them a lot. [...] Know I've started to get a bit homesick myself. Which is funny, considering I don't have a home.
no subject
I do.
If it’s not too personal... a home lost, or a nomadic life to begin with?
no subject
no subject
Oh. You’ve been busy, then?
no subject
Oh yes, I'd say so. It's what we're supposed to be doing, yes? And I'm rather good at it, so, when in Rexxentrum.
