[Omi can be found watching the sakura petals falling in the window of the airport.]

Is it spring...?

[Hard to tell when the windows are so strange.]

[sistocracy]

[lenore walks over to join him. she holds a hand out towards the window, turning it over a few times with a look of mild amusement.]

I’m sure it’s just a simulated window. [but she’ll gaze out at the cherry blossoms and add:] Pretty, though.

[housewolf]

Just like all the other weird windows in this place.

[A little sigh.]

At least it's a nice surprise.

[sistocracy]

I like them better this way. I’d be in trouble if they were normal.

[lenore grins, then looks around at the rest of the room.]

What is this place, anyway?

[housewolf]

Because of the sun?

[He has no idea which part of vampire lore applies to her.]

I think it's some sort of airport? It's a building you'd go to travel to another destination.

[sistocracy]

[she nods, smiling.]

An airport... for travel by air?

We vampires may have advanced technology, but even we don’t have anything quite like that.

[at least, not in the 15th century.]

[housewolf]

We have airplanes these days.

Hm... They're machines that travel through the sky. I'm not totally sure on how they work, but I've traveled on them a few times.

[sistocracy]

That's incredible. It sounds like it could be scary, though.

I suppose it would be more accessible than transmission mirrors. Must be nice, for lots of people to be able to travel.

[housewolf]

There are some people who really don't enjoy it. But it's definitely convenient if you need to go to another continent.

... What are transmission mirrors? [Phones?]

[sistocracy]

Magic mirrors, essentially. They can show distant places to the user, who can then simply walk through the mirror and appear in that place.

But the techniques used to create them have been long lost, and they require some magic knowledge to use. They're quite the rare treasure.

[housewolf]

I've never seen anything like that, but it sounds amazing. Instant travel just like that?

I guess it makes sense that they're rare.

[sistocracy]

It would be very troublesome if they weren't.

[she laughs! and then gets distracted by some souvenir kiosks, which she starts gravitating towards.]

What's this? Some kind of market?

[housewolf]

A little like that. When you go to an airport there are little trinkets you can buy to take back to your friends.

[sistocracy]

Oh. [she looks around?] I don't see any shopkeepers, so I suppose we can just take what we want?

[she picks up a keychain depicting a cherry blossom tree, letting it dangle from her fingers as she eyes it curiously.]

Maybe I can bring something back for my sisters.

[housewolf]

I think so? I don't think anybody's going to track you down if you take a few.

Do you have a lot of siblings?

[sistocracy]

Well, we aren't related by birth, if that's what you were imagining. [she grins.]

But yes, I have three sisters. Vampires, like myself.

[she's going to pick up a cute-looking tote bag and start putting some notebooks with pretty covers in it.]

[housewolf]

The same... [What's the word for it?] Person who turned you? [He doesn't know the word. Oops.]

Seems like you get along.

[sistocracy]

Something like that, yes.

[canon hasn't actually confirmed but like ??? it's a good guess tbh]

We do get along. We bicker a lot, certainly, but we've overcome a lot of adversity together. There's no one I trust more than my sisters.

[she puts some pens in there, too! and then picks up and examines a flowery postcard.] God, they would hate most of this crap.

[housewolf]

It's always good to have people you trust... It's harder in a place like this.

[He does laugh a little bit.]

What kind of stuff do they like.

[sistocracy]

Well... Morana has refined tastes. Striga doesn't care for trinkets, but might appreciate some food or drink. Carmilla... [she just grins, looking like she may be suppressing a laugh.] She's impossible to please.

[housewolf]

Ever seen somebody manage it?

I can probably make you food, but I don't know how long we'll be here.

[It would be such a waste to make it and have it spoil before they leave.]

[sistocracy]

It's rare, but yes.

[oh right, one of omi's hobbies was cooking...]

I might not get to bring it home with me, but I'd love to try your cooking. If you don't mind, that is.

[housewolf]

Sure. Is there anything in particular you'd like to eat?

[sistocracy]

I don't know... Something new. I imagine there's a lot of cuisine from the future that I could never dream of having in my time.

[housewolf]

Alright. What kinds of foods are you used to? I can work from there.
