W1: Friday Post-Announcement

[Lenore is just standing in the Planetarium, gazing up at the stars in silence, almost as if in prayer. She doesn't react to Mineo entering, until he comes close enough for her to softly speak to him:]

It looks like tomorrow's going to be another busy day.

[sengokus]

[ah.... mineo wasn't gonna disturb her, instead just poking around the planetarium curiously as if he could still find any clues but he pauses when she speaks to him and just...

sighs.]

... yeah. Two deaths this time...

We're gonna have to work even harder.

[sistocracy]

[she looks over at him, and, seeing that he's been looking around, she manages a small smile.]

You're still trying your best, aren't you? Even after everything that happened...

week 1, post-trial

[well everything happens so fucking much. it's probably legitimately any hallway on the upper floors - maybe the entrance to the circus - that mineo is suddenly finding himself standing and

not moving

he's probably in the way? but he looks like he's staring very intently into the circus and.... just not. doing anything. is he even fucking breathing]

[Lenore approaches slowly, and stops just behind him.]

... Are you all right?

No.

[he says that without thinking about it -

before he realizing who he said it to. ah. he's a little surprised and tries to manage just a little bit of temperance.]

... I'll - get over it though.

W2: Sunday

[sistocracy]

[Lenore's here in the Planetarium, staring up at the stars. It may appear like she doesn't notice Mineo nearby, but before he can consider leaving her be, she speaks without lowering her gaze.]

At least it was a fitting end for him. Dignified, somewhat. Most humans don't get to choose how to die.

... But he shouldn't have been the one to die today.

[ . . . . ah. mineo pauses at that before he just quietly goes over to join her, sitting beside her]

..... he shouldn't have.

.... have you been holding up okay, Lenore-san? I know... you must be pretty torn up about not finding the right person.

[sistocracy]

[she gives him a grateful look.] Yes... I suppose I am.

I thought I could make a difference, but there simply wasn't enough time. And now the animal that brutalized poor Steven might go unpunished...

week 3, post-trial

[he's going to look for her!! wherever she is!!!!]

Lenore-san.

... can I ask you something?

[let's say she's in... the biome garden! she was just walking along the path, and stops to face him with a faint smile.]

Of course. What is it?

[he gives her a smile back - though it's a weak one]

... this might feel a little forward to ask. I wouldn't be surprised if you don't trust me with it, and I'd respect it if you didn't. Or - if there's something you want in exchange for the truth.

But.... did you curse Aoi-san and Shi-san today? To try to keep us from paying attention to Law-san?

W4: Monday

[there is a painfully long delay between this and the next text. lenore is not a fast typist.]

i found one, but i don’t think they were responsible. i know there was a third person, but i don’t know who they are.

i realize that’s not very helpful. i’m sorry.😞

[it’s Wednesday, which means it’s a donation day! Lenore makes sure to be in her room at the usual time, and when she hears a knock at the door, she promptly answers it.]

Right on time. I see you’re as dependable as always.

[he's just going to smile at her - easygoing? it's almost a bit... tempered? less sunshiny and brilliant, but nonetheless sincere]

You're someone that I think anyone would want to be dependable for, Lenore-san.

W7: Thursday Night

[sometime after reunions start to settle down, mineo gets a text!]
